Groups look great! Some thoughts:

Did you make them so people have to ask apply for membership or open. I ask this cause it cannot be changed. You need to figure it out now. Leave comments on my wall with questions you have.

In the groups you can have discussions and enable members to send messages to each other. In the group choose edit groups.

Are the cool blogs about green building. If so you can embed the RSS feed (internet radio signal) into RSS readers and have the content show up in this site and groups.
